How to Select All Your Emails in Gmail

Follow the steps below to select your emails.

  1. Go to gmail.com
  2. Click on the Gmail menu on the left side of the screen.
  3. Click on the More option to see other options.
  4. Click on the checkbox above the first email in the inbox. This action selects the first page. 
  5. If you wish to select all emails in the conversation, click on the option at the top of the emails indicated Select All__Conversations in All Mail. The number usually depends on the number of messages in your inbox. The number covers all read, unread and archived emails. It also includes emails in all your folders. 
  6. Once you click this option, all the emails are selected. You can choose to Clear Section. Proceed carefully.
  7. You can also move the selected emails, delete, archive or take another action. 

How to Select Groups of Emails

If you do not wish to select all emails and want to focus on one subject or email group, you can follow the steps below to select the emails.

Select All Unread Emails

First, you can select all unread emails. To do so:

  • Open your Gmail account.
  • Click on All Mail from the left side menu.
  • From the top screen under the search bar, there is a filtering email. Click on Is Unread. 
  • Gmail will display all unread emails. 

Select Emails from One Sender

Follow the steps below:

  1. Click on the Menu on the left and select All Mail.
  2. Once you do so, click on From.
  3. A pop-up menu will appear showing you all your contacts.
  4. Filter by name or email.

Choose the contact whose email you wish to select. 

You can now use the select tool on the left side. Click on the checkbox to select all the emails. It will select the emails on that page. if there is more, an option will appear asking you to Select all conversations that match the search.
